RESTORATION

Preparation

The preparation of the pool before painting is vital to the life expectancy of the epoxy finish. The normal process involves high pressure cleaning of the pools surface at a pressure of 3000 psi. This is followed by acid etching the surface. Any surface defects are then filled with an epoxy resin before a sealer & epoxy primer is applied. This process usually takes up to three days to complete before the actual painting of the swimming pool can commence.

The painting process

We require two to three days to apply the epoxy coating during fine weather. If the pool requires an epoxy sealer, this process requires an extra day to complete. The epoxy coating needs around seven days to cure before filling the pool with water.Once the pool has filled, the water can be balanced immediately ready for swimming.
